The HOPE Village Farmers Market is a wonderful, weekly event that provides fresh and local food access to this Detroit community. It connects members of the neighborhood and is a hub of cultural activity with music, spoken word performance, yoga, and much more! This market is open Wednesdays from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at Cool Cities Park, 14150 Woodrow Wilson St, Detroit, MI 48238.  

 

Set Up (2:30 – 3:30 p.m.) 

Assist Hope Village Market staff and vendors with tent/space arrangements, opening and setting-up the concession stand, setting-up chairs and tables for activity stations, and pre-cleaning areas as needed. 

Break Down (7 - 8 p.m.) 

Assist Hope Village Market staff and vendors with trash clean-up, concession stand sanitation, tent take-down, breaking down activity areas and storing tents, tables, chairs and other materials for future use.  

You are welcome to stay and enjoy the market before or after your shift! 

 

Dress comfortably and keep in mind that we will be outside. Please bring a jacket and waterproof shoes. No open toe shoes, jogging pants, shorts, tank tops/sleeveless shirts. Gloves are a plus, but no tools are needed. There are no storage areas or lockers available at the Cool Cities Park. Please keep this in mind when bringing personal items. Street parking.
