What’s All The Buzz About Beer?

We drink it from a bottle, a can, or sometimes even upside-down from a keg! We stock it for the game and pop it open after yard work. But how often do we think about everything that goes into it?       Beer is a beverage tied to the American identity and, as it turns out, is part of an industry swimming desperately to free itself from the complex legacy of American Racism.       Please join me at Focus: HOPE for a shocking conversation around high profits, training and employment opportunities for people of color in the beer industry. You will not be disappointed and don’t want to miss this!

Volunteer Assignment Description: Welcome guest(s) to the facility and lead them to various entry point to the event. Work with the event organizers on last minute details and needs to create a welcoming environment for all. If you choose, you will be able to participate with the discuss and follow up activities. Some light clean up may be required after the event.  

When: Thursday, February 20th at 5:30p

Where: Focus: HOPE, 1400 Oakman, 3rd Floor, Detroit, MI

Parking: Free, in the gated secure lot on the south side of the street, directly across from the 1400 Building
