About the Program What is the COVID-19 Fresh Food Fund? The COVID-19 Fresh Food Fund is a Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) program that provides nourishing, high-quality fruits and vegetables to people in need. How does the Program work? PHA connects produce distributors to local partners that distribute boxes of fresh produce to local communities weekly. Coordinating partners include school districts, housing authorities, healthcare providers, WIC clinics, food banks, and early childcare centers. What’s in a box? Each family-sized box includes 50 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables per week, over 12-weeks to drive the adoption of healthy habits. About the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) In 2010, PHA was created in conjunction with Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! effort. PHA partners with the private sector to transform the food landscape in pursuit of health equity. COVID-19 FRESH FOOD FUND The Fresh Food Program is coming to the Midwest! The Fresh Food Program is launching in over 20 cities across the Midwest in 2021, providing 12.9 million servings of fruits and vegetables to tens of thousands of families.
