Loading Food Boxes into Vehicles - Curbside Pickup
Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday 10:00am-1:00pm
*Good for small groups up to 5 people*
Volunteers that participate will be loading the prepacked food boxes and additional food commodities into vehicles and replenishing the supplies/commodities for distribution. This is a moderately physical activity. Long periods of active moving and standing may occur.
Volunteers may assist with the following tasks:
- Distribute pre-packed food boxes and additional food commodities to seniors by loading prepacked boxes into vehicles
- Replenish supplies/commodities for distribution
- Heavy lifting required... Food boxes are approximately 38 pounds each
Attire: We suggest volunteers dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. No open toe shoes, jogging pants, shorts, tank tops/sleeveless shirts.
Additional Information: There is limited storage space, please leave personal items in a secure place.
Parking & Entering the building: Parking is located directly next to the building at 1300 Oakman Blvd. Use caution when parking and when crossing the lot - this is the same parking lot where participants will be picking up their food. Enter through the white tent in the parking lot.
